Eight Athletes to Represent the United States at Junior Grand Prix Italy

The U.S. Junior National Team is set to showcase talent at the ISU Junior Grand Prix Series, taking place in Varese, Italy, from September 3-6, 2025. After a strong start to the series, this represents another significant opportunity for young athletes to excel on an international stage.

The United States delegation will feature two athletes in the men’s and women’s events, as well as two teams in ice dance. Note that pairs will not be contested at this leg of the series. In the women’s competition, Logan Higase-Chen and Annika Chao enter with high hopes. Higase-Chen, the reigning U.S. junior champion, looks forward to her season debut after achieving a top-10 finish at the Junior Grand Prix Thailand last year. Chao also arrives with momentum, having claimed silver at the junior event during the 2025 Cranberry Cup International.

The men’s discipline will see Aleksandr Fegan and Nicholas Brooks representing the U.S. Fegan, returning for his third Junior Grand Prix Series, seeks to make a mark after finishing fourth at Junior Grand Prix Armenia in 2023. Meanwhile, Brooks is prepared for his series debut, boasting two prior international medals, including a silver at the Kings Cup International in 2023, and bronze at the Trophy Metropole Nice Côte d’Azur the following year.

In ice dance, newcomers Jasmine Robertson and Chase Rohner bring excitement after recently clinching bronze at Junior Grand Prix Latvia. Annelise Stapert and Maxim Korotcov will also look to build on their success, following a commendable fifth-place finish at JGP Turkey just one week prior.

Competition kicks off Thursday with the rhythm dance and men’s short program, followed by the women’s short program and free dance on Friday. Medals will be awarded after the men’s and women’s free skates on Saturday, providing a thrilling culmination to the event.
