U.S. to Send 11 to Junior Grand Prix Thailand

In an exciting turn of events for the world of figure skating, eleven talented members of the U.S. National Junior Team are set to showcase their skills in Bangkok, Thailand. This week’s competition marks the fourth stop on the prestigious ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series.

Leading the U.S. charge are junior ice dance champions Hana Maria Aboian and Daniil Veselukhin. This dynamic duo, fresh off a triumph at the Lake Placid Ice Dance International, is poised to make waves at the IWIS International Training Center from September 9-13. Last year, they achieved podium finishes at both of their Junior Grand Prix events and secured a commendable seventh-place finish at the World Junior Championships.

In the ice dance category, they will be joined by the experienced team of Michelle Deych and Ryan Hu. This rising partnership earned sixth place at the season’s Gustavo kickoff event in Latvia and is the current U.S. pewter medalists. Their competitive mettle promises to keep spectators on the edge of their seats.

In the women’s field, Emilia Nemirovsky and Jessica Jurka aim to build impressive records. Nemirovsky, a two-time U.S. junior pewter medalist, follows her podium finish at the Maria Olszewska Memorial, while Jurka clinched gold at the 2025 Denver Cup International.

On the men’s side, Patrick Blackwell from Norwood, Massachusetts, seeks to make an impact. He is fresh from competing at the 2025 World Junior Championships after securing silver at the 2024 JGP in the Czech Republic. Known for his technical arsenal that includes quads and a backflip, Blackwell is a force to be reckoned with.

Pairs competitors Reagan Moss and Jakub Galbavy hope to earn their first Junior Grand Prix medal and build on their recent fourth-place finish in Turkey. Not to be overlooked are Sofia Jarmoc and Luke Witkowski, U.S. pewter medalists, also prepared to compete.

As the event unfolds, fans can catch all the action live via the ISU YouTube channel. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series consists of seven events, and each participant scores points aiming for qualification in the Final in Nagoya, Japan, scheduled for December 4-7.
