U.S. Sends Full Team to Junior Grand Prix Poland
Team USA is primed and ready to compete at this week’s Junior Grand Prix Poland, sending a robust contingent of talented skaters looking to secure their spots in the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final in December.
Representatives Sophie Joline von Felten, Caleb Farrington, alongside pairs duo Naomi Williams and Lachlan Lewer, will take the ice at Hala Olivia arena from October 1-4. These U.S. skaters recently earned bronze medals, positioning themselves favorably in the current standings.
As the sixth stop in the prestigious ISU Junior Grand Prix Series, this event presents significant opportunities. The U.S. Junior National Team is sending multiple entries across all disciplines—women’s, men’s, pairs, and ice dance—bolstering representation at this key competition.
Sophie Joline von Felten, the 2025 U.S. junior champion with a recent third place finish at JGP Turkey, looks forward to enhancing her young career. She’s joined by Kaya Tiernan, who rocks a bronze medal from the Cranberry Cup International, marking her debut on the Junior Grand Prix stage.
Caleb Farrington captured his first Junior Grand Prix medal in Azerbaijan, excitedly riding a wave of momentum into his second event. Competing in the men’s category is rookie Louis Mallane, who has previous international success at the 2025 Denver Cup and recently placed eighth in the Cranberry Cup International.
Relationship dynamics in pairs are spotlighted with Naomi Williams and Lachlan Lewer, both aiming for a spot at the Junior Grand Prix Final after their solid bronze finish at JGP Latvia. They are joined by newcomers Milada Kovar and Jared McPike, who previously secured silver in the 2025 Robin Cousins Cup.
Making their debut in ice dance are siblings Grace and Luke Fischer, alongside their training partners Sophia Feige and Wiles Middlekauff. With strong credentials from the 2025 U.S. Championships, they have high expectations for this season.
Competitive action kicks off with the short programs for women, pairs, and men on Thursday. Fans worldwide can catch all the thrilling moments live via the ISU YouTube channel. As part of a seven-event series inaugurated in 1997, this year’s final will occur in Nagoya, Japan, from December 4-7. Stay tuned as U.S. figure skating hopefuls strive for glory on the international stage!
