Rochester, Michigan hosted an electrifying week of figure skating as Koko Hirano captured her second consecutive gold medal in the senior Parade of Champions at the 2025 National Showcase. Held at Ice House Skating Academy, this year’s event showcased promising talent as well as seasoned veterans.

Hirano, representing All Year FSC, achieved a perfect score of 60.00 points for her stunning performance to “Clair de Lune,” scoring an impressive 10.00 on all three judging components—artistic appeal, performance, and skating skills. This remarkable feat set her apart, as she was the only competitor to earn perfect scores across every category.

Securing the silver medal was Weyna Chen from Los Angeles FSC, whose vampire-themed routine to “No Redemption” garnered 57.52 points, showcasing over nine points across performance components. In third place, Ashlyn Olson gained bronze with a thoughtful Game of Thrones-inspired performance, totaling 52.43 points.

The junior category reflected rising talent as well. Natallia Anisimava was triumphant in her fourth annual event, securing gold with a score of 48.71 points, while Emily Souza followed closely to earn silver.

Newcomers made their mark in the adult and mixed events, with Piercyn Hunt victorious after her ten-year hiatus, delivering a stellar skate to “She’s Like the Wind” that earned her a score of 58.92. The duo of Rossiter and Soles shined brightly in the trio event, claiming gold with an emotionally charged performance.

The theme event celebrated the essence of Motown, with skaters performing to classic hits. Anisimava again found success, dazzling judges and audiences alike. As the showcase concluded, the performance excellence across all categories highlighted the growing excitement for future figure skating competitions.

Every competitor presented unique artistry, securing top positions through various modern scoring parameters. Figure skating continues not just as a sport but a powerful art form, keeping fans on-edge and searching for further announcements of upcoming events.
