Stand With Team USA At Kickoff ‘Leave Your Mark’ Event
Team USA’s journey towards the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy officially kicks off this weekend at the highly anticipated “Leave Your Mark” event, taking place at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs, Colorado. From Saturday, June 7 to Sunday, June 8, fans will have the extraordinary opportunity to meet their favorite Olympic hopefuls in an engaging and immersive setting.
Stand on the podium with World Champion Alysa Liu, or witness U.S. titlist Amber Glenn catapult through the air using a jump harness. Attendees can appreciate the elegance and skill of ice dance through performances by World Champions Madison Chock and Evan Bates. This unique weekend event promises exciting interactions from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., ensuring skaters’ fans experience a personal connection with their heroes.
The campaign aims to inspire and energize, bringing together both the local community and aspiring athletes in the lead-up to the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina, Italy. “I’m thrilled to have the Leave Your Mark event here in Colorado Springs,” stated 2024 U.S. pairs champion Danny O’Shea. This event serves as a platform for the nation’s top skaters to share their stories and experiences with fans young and old.
The engaging weekend will feature hands-on opportunities like the Art Zone for creativity, the Dance Zone for movement classes, and the Speed Zone for testing personal racing times against elite athletes. Various informative stations, from the Innovation Zone, showcasing skate advancements, to the Costume Zone, revealing iconic competition attire, will be spread throughout the museum.
Anticipated celebrity attendees include Olympians Bradie Tennell and the Shibutani brothers along with several national skating team members. “The start of an Olympic season is special,” said Tennell. “It’s an incredible way to connect with fans who share our passion.” This engaging event embodies collective spirit, encapsulating all that figure skating represents.
