Levito Third After Short Program at Grand Prix de France

Isabeau Levito kicked off her Grand Prix Series season in impressive fashion, finishing third in the short program at the Grand Prix de France on October 17, 2025. With a season-best score of 73.37 points—just narrowly missing her personal international best—the 2024 World silver medalist showcased her talents at the Angers IceParc in France, thrilling fans with her performance set to music from the classic Sophia Loren films, Houseboat and The Millionaires.

Levito opened her routine with a stunning triple flip-triple toe loop, earning her the highest-scoring element of the program at 10.56 points. Demonstrating technical prowess and artistry, she also received positive grades of execution across the board. The highlight of her elements included an impressive program components score of 34.77 points, marking her as a strong contender early in the series.

After facing a challenging 2025 season where she placed fourth at the World Championships due to injury setbacks, Levito is aiming for another medal, having already secured gold at the 2025 Cranberry Cup International. She had captured a bronze last season at her sole Grand Prix event. Meanwhile, fellow Team USA skater Elyce Lin-Gracey, the reigning World Junior bronze medalist, placed seventh in the short program with a score of 59.30. Competing to “Broken Vow” by Lara Fabian, she faced a challenge on her opening triple Lutz but executed two Level 4 spins effectively.

In pairs competition, Katie McBeath and Daniil Parkman, along with Audrey Shin and Balazs Nagy, impressed as they took fourth and fifth respectively. The U.S. silver medalists McBeath and Parkman performed their routine set to “Vale” by Christian Reindl, scoring 63.31, while Shin and Nagy achieved their international best of 61.79, highlighted by a combination spin and a reverse lasso lift, both receiving Level 4 ratings.

As the competition continues, fans can look forward to the rhythm dance on Saturday, followed by the highly anticipated women’s free skate, men’s short program, and pairs free skate, making the Grand Prix de France a key event in the figure skating calendar.
