Haydenettes Claim Silver at 2025 French Cup
In a thrilling display of talent and teamwork, the Haydenettes secured a silver medal at the 2025 French Cup in Rouen, France, over the weekend. This marked the team’s international season debut, setting a promising tone for the upcoming competitive year.
The competition serves as an initial check on the skaters’ progress as they gear up for the Challenger Series beginning in January. The Haydenettes, reigning World bronze medalists and 32-time U.S. champions, demonstrated their capacity for excellence as they took the ice in front of a captivated audience.
Throughout their performance, they skated to the rock classic “Crazy Train” by Joseph William Morgan. The team kicked off with a remarkable Level 4 move element, earning 9.05 points, part of three Level 4 elements they executed flawlessly. Notably, their Level 3 intersection paired with a Level 4 point of intersection garnered the team a staggering 9.86 points, leading to a segment score of 77.31, placing them firmly in second place, a remarkable 14.56 points ahead of their nearest competitor.
The free skate program featured the evocative “Somewhere Only We Know” by Sons of Serendip, within which the Haydenettes showcased the highest-scoring element of the entire event — a stunning Level 4 group lift that racked up an impressive 10.56 points. Masterfully executed Level 4 marks were also given for their intersection, twizzle element, and no hold element. Their total for this segment reached an impressive 136.24 points.
With a strong combined score of 213.55 total points, the Haydenettes celebrated a well-deserved silver medal as they continue to reflect their hard work and dedication. As they turn their sights back on the ice, they are set to compete at the Challenger Series Britannia Cup in Nottingham, Great Britain, scheduled for early January 2026. The aspiring champions look to further their quest for success as the international synchronized skating season heats up.
